Community Activities

At The Church @ the Pines we believe that all of us matters:

• young : old
• single : married : in between
• gay : straight
• white : black
• lived here all your life : just moved in
• religious : not sure : definitely not!

There is another sense in which all of us matters. We matter

• body,
• mind and
• spirit.

We are asking people how we can help you get:started on a better life.

This website describes some of the things that we would like to do. Some of them we know we are going to do. Some we will only do if enough people ask us.

All of them will be free! (Apart from the cost of any materials that you use)

We hope that all will be fun.

None will put you under any pressure!

If you are interested in any of them please sign up up on the relevant page and we can keep you posted as to what is happening.

The community activities that we run (depending upon demand and our ability to provide them) are:

• get : stuffed - a healthy eating group
• get : green - an environmental group

• get : reading - a reading group - you decide what to read
• get : creative - a chance to explore a number of creative activities
• get : organised - a group for learning personal organisational skills
• get : parenting - a group for parents wanting to improve in this vital area
• get : supported - a self-help support group for men
• get : mental health - a self-help group for those who have mental health problems or are caring for someone with such a problem
spirit
• get : thinking - a chance to think through some of the big issues around faith
• get : whole - a guided tour of some of the highlights of Christian spirituality
• get : exploring - a small group exploration of the basics of the Christian faith
• get : back to church - some helpful hints if you are wanting to come back to church after some time
• get : involved - how you can get involved in what we are doing
