Setting Up:
As we meet in the school hall, we need to set-up the place on a Sunday morning putting out the chairs before the service, and put them away afterwards. Although it can be fun, there is a small number who always end up doing the work. If you could help out now and again, please see George, or just turn up (around 10.20!). Your participation would be greatly welomed!

Farewell to Heather:
The Circuit Service at Crowthorne on August 3rd at 6.30pm is a Thanksgiving and Farewell Service for Heather Noel Smith, as she finishes her time of Ministry within our Circuit.
Preceding the service there will be a tea from 4.30pm.
Please place your names on the list on the notice board asap if you wish to go to the tea and we will send numbers through to Crowthorne in good time.

Hope 08:
People can still complete registration forms if they wish to do so
We have now put names to projects and will contact people shortly to let them know where and when their project is taking place
Fay has some Hope 08 cards to be delivered round houses and need people to volunteer to deliver to houses in their street. There are 30,000 cards in total. 5,000 have already gone out through schools and the rest are to go to streets in the town. If the Pines would cover a couple of streets it would be a great help – and a simple way to contribute to the work of Hope 08 for those who cannot help during the week.
There is a further training session for Hope 08 at Easthampstead Baptist Church on Thursday 7th August at 7.45pm. Even if people are not able to volunteer, it will be a good evening where people can hear more about what is going on, meet people from other churches and hear about the work that Miracle Street do. Teas, coffees and cakes will be thrown in as well!

Donations :
There is no collection, as such, during the service itself. However we do need money to pay our bills, so if you are able to contribute financially to the work of our church, you can do so via the Response Box, somewhere at the back. Forms for regular support and/or covenanted gifts are also available –please see Mike.

Methodist Western Area Meeting:
Saturday 4th Oct from 10.00 to 4.00 with a theme of Church@community.net. Please put this date in your diary and sign up on the notice board if you want to go.

Bookstall :
We have a well stocked bookstall and children’s video library in the community room. Anything not in stock can easily be ordered. There are sometimes special offers on. Please see Janet for more information (or to rent a video/DVD).

House Groups:
There are a number of House Groups that meet during the week. Some are during the day and some in the evenings. Please take away the piece of paper giving details about these groups. They can be fun as well as good places to explore faith and prayer. Why not give one a go if you don't already attend?

Prayer Times:
From 10.40 each Sunday there is an opportunity to meet to pray with others (in the green room, near the school kitchen). Come in and go as you feel led, to pray quietly, or out loud, for various aspects of our church and children's work. We finish in time for the start of worship
