Adding your Prayer Request
Everyone is welcome to ask for the prayers of others on our Prayer Diary. You can choose to do this 'anonymously' or by logging in with your user name (you get a user name by registering at My Church @ the Pines). The advantage of being logged in is that we can let you know if we have had to modify your item (see the guidelines below) and what date and Sunday people will be offering their prayers. Your name won't be associated with a particular prayer item.
Guidelines for adding a prayer to the Prayer Diary

- always respect people's confidentiality. This means never using a full name or anything else that might identify them. An initial or first name are quite adequate - God will know who we are praying for!
- always respect the person's wishes. Are they happy to be prayed for by others in the community? If you don't know, you need to ask them. Some people might be offended or upset to discover that their situation or need has been 'publicised' (even anonymously)
simple
- other people praying (and God!) don't need all the details. "Please pray for Joan who is facing major surgery on Friday" is good "Please pray for Joan Smith who is having a colostomy on Friday at Heatherwood, followed by chemo and radiotherapy" is not!
- don't forget the other ingredients of prayer - adoration, confession and thanksgiving - these are just as important as supplications.
If you want to add to the Prayer Diary using these guidelines, then please use the form below. Your proposed addition will be checked by someone from the church to ensure that it does follow the guidelines and then added to the Diary for a particular date. We will email you to let you know what date that will be. We also offer these prayers during our Sunday worship and we will let you know which Sunday that is happening so that, if you want to, you can come and join in our praying together.
