Part of the pleasure of reading is sharing that experience with others - if only to say that you wouldn't choose to read that again. Apart from the pleasure in sharing your opinions it is often interesting to hear what other people made of it - sometimes they can open up an entirely new way of looking at a book. Another advantage of being part of a local book club is that you discover writers that you might not have thought of reading for yourself.

There is nothing 'religious' about this book club - unless the members choose to read a 'religious' book (please not The Da Vinci Code)! It will be what the members choose to make of it.

If you fancy a couple of hours once a fortnight drinking tea, eating biscuits and enjoying intelligent converstation about a book you have read, this might be the group for you.

The time, place, frequency of meeting and books will be decided by the group members.
