'Spirituality' is not easy to define but most of us know of its importance. It is about how we relate to each other, to the world around us and to what is beyond that. It is the source of meaning, of purpose, of value, of all that makes life more than simple existence.

The Church does not pretend to a monopoly of truth in this area. But we do have something to say!

Jesus, and the Jewish people before him and the Church after him, show a way of life which is about love and hope and peace and faith. He does not pretend that it is easy - in fact it is the greatest challenge in the world. We do not pretend that we are always good at following that way ourselves. But we do believe that in his life and death (and resurrection to new life) we find God's pattern for our lives.
